Firstly, what is Coaching?

Coaching is a facilitation process. You work with a trained individual to explore change. This could be internal change - a mindset shift, skill growth or behaviour change, or external - a promotion, re- structure, or other personal circumstances.

Working with a coach you will explore the gap between where you are now and where you want to be. With this knowledge you can then investigate the right way forward for you.

By working with a coach you will have a safe space for exploring your options and growth. Your coach will help create structure for your investigations, and help create accountability when you decide on a course of action. The knowledge is inside of you, your coach simply helps your uncover it.

Coaching will help you identify your greatest challenges – and opportunities – and find ways to handle them successfully.

Our sessions will be

  • Intentional

Our initial session will be dedicated to identifying what you want to focus on.

This may evolve over time but by setting this focus from the start, will help ensure we stay aligned with your goals and intention for working with a coach.

  • Action-focused

I will partner with you to transform your learning and insight into action.

You are the owner of these actions, as a coach, I am there to support you with identifying potential results or learning from the steps you identify - as well as helping you explore blockers and barriers.

  • A Partnership

Coaching is about co-creation of clear agreements about the coaching relationship, process, plans and goals so we will work together in close partnership.

Additionally, I am not only here to help facilitate your growth and help you measure that change, I am also here to celebrate your progress and successes.

Common Questions

  • While we tend to use coaching interchangeably with mentoring, management and other leadership activities, it is actually distinctly different.

Coaching is founded on the premise that you are the expert on you and that working with a coach is merely an enabler for you to uncover your challenges and opportunities. Together with a supportive guide you can gain clarity, self-identify how to address challenges, and be more confident you will follow through to action and success .

  • This really depends on you but most individual coaching relationships are 6 - 10 sessions.

Sessions can last from 30 - 60 minutes.

  • Working with a coaching, the options are fairly limitless. I can help support you with:

    • How to be an engaging leader

    • Navigating a promotion or role change

    • Getting unstuck or thinking something through

    • Boosting confidence and self-belief

    • Managing challenging relationships

    • Enhancing persuading and influencing skills.

  • No!

Coaching is specialism-agnostic, all that matters is that you and your coach have a good working relationship so you can feel safe exploring where and how you want to develop.
